Reading Forex charts

Select a Forex pair from the Trade market selector, then use the chart time-frame controls to change how much price history you view. A shorter interval can make recent moves easier to inspect; a longer interval provides more context.

Compare like with like. EUR/USD and USD/JPY use different quote conventions and price scales, so focus on direction, ranges, and the price axis for the pair currently selected.

The displayed chart price is derived from the current bid and ask. It is a mark for the pair, not a promise that a later order or exit will use the identical value. Prices can move between reviewing the chart and submitting a trade.

• Confirm that the chart symbol matches the symbol on the order form.
• Choose Buy or Sell based on your own view of the pair, then review amount and leverage.
• Consider a stop-loss and take-profit as part of the position plan.
• Monitor open positions in Open Trades or Positions; switching charts does not close or hide positions on other symbols.

During a Forex closure, the chart can retain candles from the preceding session. Those candles are historical data. When a pair becomes non-tradeable, Coinpes does not treat the final quote as a new live tick and shows a closed state where no current chart data exists.

• Check whether the Forex market is currently open.
• Review the selected pair, time frame, and current displayed price.
• Decide position size from your risk tolerance, not from a chart pattern alone.
• Expect the opening quote after a weekend or holiday to differ from the prior close.
