Forex trading hours

Forex sessions normally run from late Sunday afternoon or evening in United States time through Friday. Exact timing can vary by pair, region, daylight-saving changes, public holidays, and market conditions. Always use the live market status in the Trade dashboard rather than relying on a fixed clock time.

When a pair becomes non-tradeable, Coinpes stops publishing it as a live tick and marks the Forex market as closed. If there are no current chart candles to show, the chart displays a closed-market message instead of a permanent loading indicator.

Your most recent historical candles can still be visible. They show prior market activity, not a promise that a new quote is available for a trade right now.

Events can occur while the Forex market is closed. When the next weekly session opens, the first available quote may be materially different from Friday's last quote. This is known as a gap. Stops and take-profit levels are risk controls, not a guarantee of execution at a particular displayed price.

• Review any open Forex Market positions before the weekend.
• Understand your margin usage and the effect a price gap could have on profit or loss.
• Set or revise risk controls only after considering that the next quote can differ from the previous close.
• Do not assume a chart that shows Friday's history is receiving live weekend prices.

Coinpes volatility indices are synthetic and generate ticks continuously. Forex pairs depend on the external weekly currency-market session, so they can be closed while a volatility index remains available in the same dashboard.
