Introduction

Forex markets on Coinpes let you follow and trade selected currency pairs from the Trade dashboard. Your Coinpes account, Market position, margin, and profit or loss remain managed on Coinpes.

Available currency pairs

The current Forex basket includes EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, AUD/USD, USD/CAD, USD/CHF, NZD/USD, and EUR/GBP. Use the symbol selector on Trade to switch between Forex pairs and volatility indices.

A pair shows how much of the second currency is quoted for one unit of the first. For example, EUR/USD is the US-dollar value of one euro. A move up means the euro has strengthened against the dollar in that quote.

How prices reach the chart

Coinpes publishes live bid and ask quotes for the supported pairs to its chart, price feed, and Market-position calculations.

The chart uses the midpoint of the current bid and ask for its displayed price. The bid and ask are retained for price calculations, so a Forex position can move as the market quote changes.

Forex and volatility indices

Forex pairs reflect an external market and follow its trading sessions. Volatility indices are synthetic instruments generated by Coinpes and continue to produce prices around the clock. They are different market families, even though both appear in the same Trade dashboard.

Opening a Market position

  • Select a Forex pair from the market selector.
  • Choose Buy when you expect the displayed price to rise, or Sell when you expect it to fall.
  • Enter your amount and choose leverage within the limits shown by the order form.
  • Review required margin, fees, and any stop-loss or take-profit levels before submitting.

Market positions remain open until you close them or a configured stop-loss or take-profit closes them. Margin, fees, and profit or loss work the same way as other Market positions.

Before you trade

  • Use a demo account first to understand price movement, margin, and position controls.
  • Check the pair, side, amount, and leverage before confirming an order.
  • Remember that the market can gap when a weekly Forex session reopens.
  • Use risk controls that suit the amount you can afford to lose.

Forex prices are available only while a pair is tradeable. When the market is closed, Coinpes marks the pair as closed instead of publishing a stale quote as live.
