Introduction

P2P pricing is shown directly on each offer. Before you confirm an order, the marketplace calculates how much fiat you pay and how much USDT you receive, or how much fiat you receive when selling. The offer price, not a separate hidden checkout total, is the starting point for that calculation.

What the displayed price means

An offer shows a rate such as 1 USDT = 1,000 KES. Your fiat amount and USDT amount are linked by that rate. The offer also defines a minimum and maximum fiat limit, so your chosen amount must fit inside those limits.

Payment-method charges, bank charges, or mobile-money charges are applied by the payment provider, not calculated as a separate Coinpes P2P fee in the order form. Check the provider terms for those costs before sending payment.

Fixed prices

A fixed offer keeps the price the merchant entered. When you open the offer, compare the displayed rate with the fiat amount you intend to use and the USDT amount you will receive.

Floating prices and margins

A floating offer follows a live reference rate and applies the merchant's margin. The displayed rate can change as the reference changes, so review the current price on the offer page before taking the order.

Compare the complete order

At 1,000 KES per USDT, 50,000 KES buys 50 USDT before provider charges.

If another offer shows 980 KES per USDT but has a smaller limit or a less convenient payment method, compare the final amount, timing, and terms together.

Check the total before you confirm

  1. Confirm the fiat currency and current offer price.
  2. Enter an amount inside the offer limits.
  3. Check the calculated USDT amount you will receive or sell.
  4. Account for any charge from your payment provider.
  5. Confirm only after the order details match your plan.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a separate P2P fee in the order form?
The order form calculates the fiat and USDT amounts from the offer price. Payment providers may apply their own charges, so check those terms separately.
Why can a floating offer price change?
Floating offers follow a live reference rate and apply the merchant margin. The displayed rate can change before you take the offer.
